Hippity Hop Hop - Easter 2015

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

I can't believe that Bug's first Easter has come and gone.  I spent a good month planning her Easter basket and gifts from the Easter bunny and truth be told we were more excited than she was.  I ended up having to wake her up to see her gifts so we weren't late for breakfast and church.  She came down with the flu and an ear infection the week of so she was still feeling pretty blah.

We went to breakfast and to church with Spencer's family, Bug pretty much entertained all the rows behind us during service but was such a good girl through it all.  After church we headed to my family's festivities.  Every year we have an adult egg hunt which usually produces some pretty hilarious stories.  We hunt for money and lottery tickets instead of candy so there's always motivation to find the most eggs.  They then hid scattered eggs around the yard for the little ones to hunt.  Kenzee was looking for prizes in each one and Bug could have cared less. Bless it. She still wasn't feeling it.

I also think the guys, and a few girls, have started an Easter skeet shoot tradition.  They set up the skeet machine in the field across from my grandparents and spent a couple of hours shooting skeet and exchanging friendly banter back and forth on who was the better shot.

After a dose of Tylenol, some lunch and a 2 hour nap she started to feel a little better so she ended Easter in a little better mood than she started.

Happy 1st Easter love!

Bug's Christmas Wish List

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

So What do you buy a child that 1. has almost everything she needs and doesn't know what she wants and 2. that can't really do anything....  I'm convinced that after Christmas our house will officially look like a circus with all the bright colors and toys everywhere.  I do want to get her some educational, fun toys, a nicer snuggle blanket and some fun plush toys.  So I did some research by searching other moms blogs with children similar in age mixed with some googling and the below is what I have come up with.

Elefun Ball Popper || Splash the Cat ||Rock a Stack || Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube || Bambi Deer Doll || Anywhere Chair

I'm positive she will also get some things like new books and way too many clothes but I just also wanted to get her some things that would be fun to play with while helping her reach those next milestones... or for her to chew on- which lets be honest will be the more likely scenario.

Halloween

Monday, November 3, 2014

So Chandler had a little Halloween party at daycare a couple of days before Halloween, I love the fact that her babysitter [Carla or G-maw] is so involved. When I arrived she was asleep amongst all the chaos- smh how does she do that.

She finally woke up and was so interested in everything and everyone around her. We decorated little pumpkins and sparkly ghosts.

She then had her picture made with an owl mask Carla made her in her Halloween pjs.
They then had festive snacks, which bug was too little to partake in, and everyone ran around on sugar highs.

On Halloween night we had my parents, my grandparents and Spencers mom over to pass out candy and see Chandler in her costume. We kept it simple with the meue: chili, caramel apple dip and caramel apple cupcakes... can you see a trend there :)

Her dad picked out her costume this year and she was so stinking cute but she didnt stay in it long since she just stayed inside and slept.
